Hey Jenny - no wonder you're having panic attacks and depression, that's no way for anyone to live.  I was born in the Bronx (a very long time ago).  Check out the links on this site, there is a lot of help out there.  Look up Al-Anon, a support group for family members of addicts.  Check with your dept of social services and churches for local resources.  You have a life to live, try not to let your mom drag you down with her no matter how much you love her.  Best wishes, Rosie http://www.deliveringonthepromise.com/40466086

When I was in your position I applied for a consolidation loan through my student loan company - it extended my payment term but lowered my monthly payments, which was all I cared about at the time.  If your current loan company won't do ti then call the other student loan companies like Sallie Mae and see if they'll help you switch over.

Best wishes, Rosie

Does your son get any county, state or federal services for his disability?  My daughter got therapies and I could have gotten transportation assistance from our county's regional center.  Contact your local Elks Club, and here's a link for financial aid and grants by state:

http://www.cerebralpalsy.org/cerebral-palsy-assistance/

My daughter also had doctor, specialist and therapy appointments so I couldn't get a job outside the home.  I started my own home-based business with AmeriPlan.  It's not a quick fix but it is a chance to make an income while still being there for your family.  Check it out at http://www.deliveringonthepromise.com/40466086 and let me know if you have any questions!  Best wishes, Rosie

Hello, fellow mom.  Maybe AmeriPlan can help you save some money on your family's many healthcare costs.  AmeriPlan has a nationwide network of providers and our members get discounted rates. Members can also use our Hospital Advocacy program to negotiate special discounts on hospital stays - even ones from the past if you still owe over $2,500.  All the info is at http://www.deliveringonthepromise.com/40466086.  Best wishes, Rosie

 in response to Heidi4...

I thought I responded to this already - oh, well.  No, I don't get paid every time someone visits the site, and I don't get paid if anyone signs up for a free Rx card - I just offer it to help people.  I truly believe AmeriPlan offers an alternative and/or supplement to traditional insurance and can help people save money on healthcare.  Our millions of members agree, or the company wouldn't still be in business with a 16 year track record.

Yes, you should not have to pay to work for someone else, but starting your own home-based business is a different situation and has a start-up cost.  AmeriPlan works hard to keep it affordable, and is even offering a great start-up special this month.  If someone wants or needs to work from home, or is unable to find work outside, then this is an opportunity for them to build something, get great training and support, awesome tax deductions, discounts and much more.  I'm happy to answer any additional questions about the membership, the opportunity or my own motives.  Best wishes, Rosie

Since we are not traditional insurance we don't "cover" anything, but we offer discounts through our providers.  Check the speciality search - we have mental health services and also ancillary care available to our members, all with a discount.  Best wishes, Rosie

Please don't think like that!  I'm sure your kids wouldn't agree with you.  The job situation and the economy in general is so bad it's scary, and you are not the only one struggling.  Have you tried signing up with a temp agency?  I work from home in my own business. Yes, there are real work-at-home jobs, but they are hard to come by.  My mom used to work for a mail order company and they had home workers stuffing envelopes and putting labels on catalogs.  The jobs usually went to relatives of the full-time office workers.  Have you thought about starting a home-based business?  I am with AmeriPlan - check it out at http://www.deliveringonthepromise.com/40466086.  Best wishes, Rosie

As many of you have mentioned, you should not have to pay to work for someone.  I work for myself - I am running my own home-based business with AmeriPlan.  I am my own boss, helping others save money on out-of-pocket health care costs.  As with running any business there are overhead costs, but the company works to keep it VERY low.  I work on commission, plus I get residual income, the dental discount plan with additional savings on Rx, vision and chiropractic care, tax deductions, full training and support and much, much more.  I am happy to share this opportunity with you, and answer any questions you might have.  We're having an incredible start-up special for the month of July - this is a fantastic opportunity to take control of your life.  Best wishes, Rosie  http://www.deliveringonthepromise.com/40466086 - view the video and you can get a FREE Rx discount card good for one year!
